I just couldn’t stop crying for the world
    So God gave me poetry
    Pages and pages
To wrap up the homeless in
And a pencil to play hopscotch
    With hungry children
And a heart to hold the lonely

    Still, the tears fell...

    Booklets and droplets
    Until the blood vessels broke
    Trees were shaking their sorrows
Oceans were cradling their river flows
    Disease and death
    Slow dancing small victories

    And all I could do
    Was write rainbows
    On elastic blue skies

    And pray…

    My vision of the world
    Would outstretch itself
    Like multi-cultural arms
    And unite nation-pains
    With freedom rains

    So the world could
    Bathe uniformity
    And the naked
    Simplicity
    Of all things

    Peace…

    Like wind…

    Flowing through Sycamore trees
    In the west

    Teasing bamboo leaves
    In the east

    Would stand still

    And everyday I ask myself

    Why can’t we be peace…

    Like wind…..

    ...and there are days

just like this, when the rain drops blend with the streams of tears down our cheeks. And the quivering of our shoulders, and the aching in our hearts subside with the coming of the wind...

and when the storm is over, there is poetry most sweet, most cleansing and for a moment, we be peace....

Ya know ya move me, galfrien'...!

    thank you for bringing confirmation.

although we can't stop the suffering and fix all the problems, we can allow others to dream...

when a person has no beauty, no goodness in their life, and they are shown beauty, then they can believe...

that it is possible for their life to change and for some of that beauty to come into it....which gives them hope, which soothes their soul, which makes a difference...

    beautiful words....

May the Wind reveal to you, a peace that passeth all understanding. Though no world peace is in sight at the moment...the Wind blows it into my heart from time to time...
    reviving me.
