    Forget the macho ********
And the phyuk that ***** lame game
    When a woman breaks a man's heart
Not very well does he handle his pain

"You mean Mr. Man is hurting inside?"
    Yes, men hurt
    In spite of manly pride
    Men have feelings too
And in one way or another
    Break down just like you

His emotions are buried oh so well
    The thoughts in his heart
    He will never tell
But once he says "I'm hers and she's mine"
There's a bond in his mind
    Lasting a very long time

So when she says "It's over. Lets go our seperate ways."
    Confusion roars within his mind
    An emotional Zombie
    Wounded and dazed

"Just get over it" one might say
    Be a man
    Live to love another day
But the pain is too deep
    The hurt too strong
    "I don't need her anyway"
    Yet everything is wrong

Don't be misled by him playing it off
    Exaggerated attempts at playing around
    Deep within he's doubting himself
Looking for answers that cannot be found

Look at a broken, hateful man
With the deepest of pain seen through his eyes
Observe how he tries to heal his soul
    Tearing his life apart
    You can be assured
    Sometime not long ago
A woman he loves broke his heart

    I appreciate

your candor, always. You reveal and teach so much about the mind and heart of a man. It is my hope that your messages reach each sista and brotha...and allow us to use the information to build up, and not destroy our relationships with each other.

    thank you

    beat :)

    you walk

down a path that most men will not go down...
baring your heart and soul with truth and honesty...
tellin it like it is from the other side...
    thank you...

be, i am really lovin' this piece. you know, i've always felt that one who is able to show that he is hurt and able to cry, is one who is real. to me, that means that he has kicked away the "manly pride" stuff. and i respect that. thank you for this piece, dear poet...it's very enjoyable.
