I wanted to write you a love poem
But the argument we just had
    Left too much static
    Inside my brain
It buzzes like a rain storm
    Hitting exposed high wire
The telephone sounds like a train
    Barreling down the tracks
As it gets to the crossing
Blows its horn where I am standing
I wanted to write you a love poem
For love is in my heart
But the argument we just had
    Sounds like gunfire
    And my soul got caught
    In the line of fire
    And I get no honors
    No medal of valor
    For staying true to you
    For heaven’s sake
You don’t even know I have
I wanted to write a love poem
    With your name plastered
    All over it
    So you would know
    And see
    And care
    And turn around
    And not leave me
I’ve been trying to write you
    A love poem….

Trying to write what can't be written, it's just impossible to flow something into someone else that isn't there. This is fathoms deep Cindy. Flow on.

    Oh my...this was so touching
    this made my eyes swell
    with tears...because the
    emotion radiates from it
    like the sun....

    Poignant...and ever so beautiful!

    I truly feel this poem...
