    flash cookies, a little known privacy threat ... well, maybe not quite all that big a "threat", but flash does store persistent cookies. here is a blog linked from the article.

    both of them have additional comments from readers, some with info on how/where to clean these out. there is also reference to flash's built-in "settings manager", which is found by right clicking on any flash app that is running.

    either way, these cookies stick around forever, with a cookie for every site that one has ever visited since flash was installed ... even those sites that don't appear to have a visible flash component!!
