we spoke over Nehi peach sodas
and a warm slice of pecan pie
pie with vanilla Ice cream...
talking about love and it's
two main sides E & R.......
watching her converse and break down
her philosophy on love "southern style"
I wondered how ice cream would react
on her shoulder blade...I should have been
paying closer attention to what she
said but pleasing her was important
to me...I was visiting for only
a short while as I was from the North
I interjected while she was discussing
the etymology of eros "what would
you do if I..." before I finished
I placed the ice cream on shoulder
and watched it dip over the contours
of her and sliding down the spaghetti
strings of her chiffon top, it stopped
in the chalice of her navel, she had an
"innie" so in my tongue went...her
next comment was of a foreign nature
and all natures creatures.....watched
as I drank
we were supposed to discuss E&R
over Nehi sodas and pecan pie
on the porch she lay fluid
relaxed waiting to be tasted again
I threw rocks
at the sky shattering the stars
leaving us with only the moonlight
to guide us and there we were
on stage no camera but ecstasy-rated

I resumed my position and slipped
a moan in her soul she became more
intoxicated at each whip of my
tongue...I wished I was her at that
moment cause I'm good...but I lived
vicariously through her escaping sweat
evidence of excitements existence
