    A Hood Child

I met this brown sugar honey
    From the P.J.’s
    We kicked it awhile
    Way back in the day

    A dark-skinned lovely
    With lots of bootay
    Thick and juicy
    Now, that’s what I say

    She claimed she loved me
    Asked, “What do you think?
Could we make a go of it?”
    She said, with a wink

    Hmmm

    I don’t know if it’s practical
    Where we’re at
    To sit up house, and
    “I love you” like that

    After performing a needs assessment
    I discovered…the expense incurred
    Would be absurd
    But…from the word GO
I had to know if she was worthy
    Of ten carats…and the suburbs

    So, word

    I implemented
    A five-step game plan
    …Took a chance on
    “Sweetness from da hood”
    Who had long been nicknamed
    “L’il Sistah No Good”
    Yet
    She withstood
    The test of my time
    ‘til today
    She remains faithful and
    …ALL mine

We ALL have a past ~ history

    Take a chance

the place of ones birth doesn't make the person...

...and the experiences one have are what make for a better person. i once dated an ex-prostitute...and was amply rewarded with the product of her experiences.:) it was her possessiveness that threw us off. YOU JUST HAVE TO ALLOW FOR CHANGE IN PEOPLE.

    the river flows.

    Brother Brother

If this not not good to my spirit, nothing would be

    Speak to me.

People always desire to set others back.

    But GOD.(sorry, no preaching)

This is good. There is still a chance...
