I'm trying 2 find out how 2 be a good man.
Do U have 2 be college educated, but naive when life's concerned?
I am the man that I am because what I am I learned from life.
Do the clothes make the man, cuz if that's true, my clothes are dirty
from earning a living, so does that make me a bum?
I know cats that stay fresh & clean, but the only money they get
is what they're given & they treat their women like scum.
    And the women stay.

I know guys that wear slacks & ties but they completely womanize.
They play childish games, accidentally mistake names & consistently tell their women lies.
I can't count how many times I've heard a sister say she likes bad boys,
but they don't like the drama that's part of the package.
They fail 2 realize that some good men were bad boys, in the past tense.

I've discovered that usually, when a woman says she's lookin' 4
a good man, she's not really ready.
She'd rather have him as a friend, saying you're more like a brother,
or I need some time 2 discover me.
Maybe cavemen were onto something when they cracked chicks in the
head & dragged them off by their hair.
It seems women fall deeper 4 a man that's not mentally there.

    Sister's, don't U believe U deserve 2 be treated with honor & respect?
U gotta love yourself before U can love someone else.
Stop fallin' 4 dudes cuz they drive nice cars & wear flashy clothes,
Cuz abuse can only go so far & gettin' dissed gets old.

    one with knowledge of oneself
has the power to over come stress
a good man is what a true sister seek
the sisters who look at how
    a brother rolls
are the ones left in the cold
    when winter sets in
    and the gray hair shows
    so keep that fly mode
you got going for you Warrior
    and a true Queen will
    see the Real King
that is not a Myth or Missed
i am feeling your flowsssss :)
    flow more
    nice one
    Peace
    Blue

Blue, just call me Cinderfella, cuz I believe that one day my Queen will come, so I'm accepting all apps. Thank U 4 your endearing words.

Brother Khasm, every man ain't a King, & every woman ain't a Queen are the truest words ever spoken. U gotta sort thru 'em like beans so U don't get the dirt & stones with the good stuff. And the material fetish, that's why I'm by myself, cuz U gotta put in a full week 2 get the benefits, U feel me? Thanks 4 the feel, bruh, I knew U would if noone else. Great minds, dog.

Monetary, that's why I'm alone now, not lonely, but alone. Thanks 4 the read, glad U liked.

Brother $$, I gotta speak the mind, cuz if I don't, I'd be a faker, & that just ain't me. Thanks bruh.

watz, thank U completely 4 hearin' my mind.

I liked this simply because I love a man with dirty clothes and nails from working hard. A body cut not by working out but from working hard! I loved this poem. Much love to you.

    I honor the “GOOD man”
educated from the daily strife that occurred in his life
complete now from the lessons then
never having to pretend to be someone he is NOT
bronzed by the sun during the battles he fought
    dusty from digging deep
to secure the foundations from whence our brethren speak
living day to day as only a MAN can
handling his heart and soul in one hand
and in the other reaching out to his fellow sista and brother
    scorned for his belief
    searching for soul relief

    I honor the “GOOD man”
respecting his woman and placing his queens on high
because he is KING of the BLAK sky
and in his heart u find no lies
only truth of the strongest kind
bonded on a strong soul and a secure mind
    fighting through the seas
of the faulty “oh baby please…”
“ummm do got enough to make me your main squeeze?”

    I honor the “GOOD man”
    because contrary to popular belief
He is real he is worthy and for him a Queen would die
    A BLAK KING on high
fueling the passions of his sista Queen

    I honor the “GOOD man”
    These words are true
From a Queen to a King
I honor a good man such as you
    ********************************************************************
much props and respects my brotha...I know ya Queen will be pleased when you unite :)

Experiential Learning...but some never get it...

Brother your message is so true...
    love the caveman line, lol...
but the part that really got me
    was that...when a woman says
she's looking for a good man,
    she's not really ready...
    Brother...that within itself
is why I love the way your mind works...
....you are mos def' our "poet of the week"...
