I’m not just some meal

That’s fast and ready

If you want me

It has to be slow and steady

And don’t expect a meal

That comes with a deal

Baby, all my ingredients

Are pure and real

I’ve been prepared

By the best hands

A mixture of delicates

From all the lands

This Master Chef

Takes His time

He seasons me

With the best thyme

When I’m ready

He’ll place me on your plate

Revealing me

To your hungered state

But not all at once

Will you get your fill

To have all of me

Is a full course meal

An appetizer to start

My knowledge you will taste

You won’t want any

To go to waste

The palate of your mind

Will awaken it senses

You’ll want more

Until you’re senseless

But you must make room

For my soul

The main course

It will leave you whole

The meat of my heart

Is certainly filling

And will be all yours

If you’re willing

With a side of personality

Seasoned with wit

Complemented with spirituality

A perfect fit

The way to your heart

Will be found in this dish

And you will be granted

Your every wish

But before desert

There will come the bill

Can you afford

The worth of this meal?

Commit to the price

And desert is yours

You won’t regret

What’s in store

Sensuality

Covered with passion

An aphrodisiac that sets

Love into action

So, when you’re ready

Come and see

I’ll let you have

A full course of me

The recipe to your heart
is not understood easily by most
yet for the right man
I am sure you'll be a gracious host
May the meal you offer
feed your desired mate for life
A meal timed right
Will make the right man ask you to be his wife...

I enjoy your work...simply stating the depths of your soul and desires...keep it up scribe, griot poet
