broken hearts
don't easily part
with the life that touched them
with timeless art

nothing could better compliment
the genius of his showmanship
than the legacy of his eternal gift
that we call entertainment

he lives in rhythms heaven bound
in souls that stretch the world around
in tranquil melodies and sounds
of his favorite song
smile

he lives in walks across the moon
and every other dance you do
in every soulful singers croon
in every life gone too soon

heaven rejoices
while the family cries
and i can see Michael, standing by
asking the angels
why oh why
did they wait to give me flowers
after i died

Oh, I could just HUG you for this!

You SAID IT!

Even Joe Jackson made an earlier statement about him wishing Michael could have seen all the outpouring of love all over the world for him.

No, sadly, all too often we don't "miss our water til the well runs dry."

My favorite part was this.
he lives in walks across the moon
and every other dance you do
in every soulful singers croon
in every life gone too soon

Yes, there were those who were just riding the "train," so to speak, for their 15 minutes of fame; but, mostly, people were genuinely mourning his passing and recognizing his musical life. Even I learned some things about MJ from the Memorial that I didn't know; and that was surprising cuz I useta be a Michael Jackson GURU!

Anywho! Loved the poem! Your insight was spot on!

Yes, another one joins the greatest venue up in "Soul Heaven."

Can you imagine a concert with James Brown, Jackie Wilson, and Michael Jackson! WHATTA SHOW THAT WOULD BE!

heaven rejoices

and i can see Michael, standing by
asking the angels
why oh why
did they wait to give me flowers
after i died

I've had my share, and part of others with the flowers, I cannot see, smell or inhale them later, I often wonder what the reason for that was.
Deep and heartfelt piece poet, thanks for sharing this.
