all eyes on me
but they’re not watching my back
they’re watching my pockets
ready to attack
looking out for themselves
but I see through all that

resources are limited
but still they take from me
i’ve leant so many helping hands
that I’m immune to the finger pointing
go ahead and blame me
i knew it was coming
i guess its my fault
you have more month than money

i’m hip to the game
and on to your scheme
i recognize hard work
and it doesn’t wear designer jeans
you have an childish appetite
that looks just like greed
maturity know the difference
between wants and needs
so I suggest you watch your mouth
before you start complaining

it used to be:
what can I do to help
now I realize
i can’t give you
what u don’t want yourself

fish
a Hustle or some business sense

the only fish you have
is sel-FISH-ness
and I’ll be damned
if I keep on being SELF-less
i’m a little too smart
not to use common sense
and you’re a little too grown
for me to be babysit

get off your blessed assurance
and start making moves
make up your bed
make up your mind
make a phone call or 2
make up for the lost time
that a grown man shouldn’t lose

now if you’ll excuse me daddy

i’ve got more
FISH-ing
to do

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"
~Chinese Proverb
