    Passion brimming
    feelings on overload
    Trying to deal by taking
    a detour in the road
But you can't take a detour
    on love's emotions
    You can't run, you
    surely can't hide
    from that emotional
    roller coaster ride inside
    You unknowingly try to
    self sabotage
    By painting a vivid masterpiece
and then covering it with a mirage
But I've been on this excursion
    for quite a while
and you brought me down this road
before, right when we were riding in style...
Perhaps when the path seems too smooth
for comfort, you take a detour for about a mile
to get your emotions under control, and
reassure yourself that you are indeed
    going in the correct direction...
Taking the road to endless love
and an honest and true affection.
Don't you know by now those U turns
only lead to a dead end?
My love has been here, and will remain
not just for a short trip around the bend,
    but throughout this passionate journey.
So when emotions start to overflow
just take hold of them you know
    and simply embrace
    and face
    me

Ain't love wonderful, and won't it take a love one to almost run out of gas, before they realize...they didn't even have to start the car up...ain't love grand? that was a piece of art, well said. Your pen has a way of dancing well with your paper.
