God give me the strength to make it through today
Cause I'm losing this game and I can no longer play
I've never been the type to just give it all up
But shi*'s gotten hard and love is no longer enough
At night I dream sweet dreams of my final goodbye
Why aren't my wings made? I'm ready to fly
God take me home and show me the light
Return me to the ones I love, already in flight
Nothing down here for me but death and pain
Can't you see the Devil has me stuck in the rain?
I've grown weak and tired through all my trials and tribulations
It seems Satan has taken over your beautiful creation
I throw my hands in the air and throw in my towel
Cause in my heart I know it will only be worse tomorrow
Death is slowly chiseling away at my heart
Faith and Hope are still within me but are ripping apart
What happened to your unconditional love and care?
I'd take my own life but it's too **** hot down there
God give me the strength to make it through today
We need your help, I bow my head and pray

I felt the despair in this, not wanting to burn in the eternal fire, but just needing complete ease from all the pain. Flow on poet.

Oh my, welcome back Alizentang. I remember you from the time I started here. I'm such a big fan of your works. I was foxylady at first but the name has changed. Anyway, I am so happy that you're back sister. So happy. Again, welcome back and I loved this poem too. It spoke of truth. :D

    Welcome Back Alizentang

Great repost. I never read it before and I think it is a great poem. Very deep and can be related to by many who find themselves at low points in life. Afraid of suicide, because of the sin related to taking one's own life.

The burden does get heavy sometimes.

( The chinese have a custom of hanging all troubles and worries on a tree outside. There they stay, never entering the house. The following day, some have blown away, and they take the remainer and carry their burdens until returning home.. Repeating this until all issues and problems are solved, or blown to the wind. )

But never .. never ever loose faith, for day follows night, and the day ( with all the sun shine of one's life ) will be forfieted that was set aside that is yours if your wings are turned in too soon.
