Walking the streets all alone,
A young teenage girl has to be grown,

She has no one else except her baby,
No longer a girl she has to be a lady,

She has slow down, and take it steady,
She has to face life but she ain’t ready,

Her child hungry and crying, causing the mother stress,
The mum has no time for herself, she’s practically a mess,

Looking after her child is now her responsibility,
But she hides her face in the street to hide her humility,

She loved the baby’s father, she thought they’d be together,
She woke to reality, and found out this will be never,

The father turned and left, he was scared and so he ran,
But he’s not ready for fatherhood, he not ready to be a man

He just a young boy, and he is full of fear,
Seeing the mother cry, he turns a blind eye to her tears,

Just like the baby, the mother needs to loved,
She also wants nurturing, kisses and hugs

But no one is around and no one really cares,
No one to love her baby is the only one there,

Screaming little baby, all it does is cry,
The mother just wants to lay down and die,

Baby and mother go to sleep, all troubles fade away,
Next comes and the have to face the world another day,

No longer a teen reckless and wild,
She just another teenage mother, a child with a child.
