    this da boy
id like to thank those who support me
    the few who actually do
this fo those who got a few dreams

    Long time
    And I know
    A change gon come

    Sing to em

    Yeah

    It’s been a long time
    We been hassled
    By our own minds
    Intimidated
Scared to make the next move
    No connects for this dude
    Mean game
    Sicker poetry game
    Even greater design

    Sing to em

    Long time
    And I know
    A change gon come

    We been held back
    It’s who you know
    And the ones we knew
    Was fraud
    They talked a good game
    But they played poor
    And I’m thinking
How the **** I’m gon score
    With no ball, no goal
I got sneakers, jerseys, nets, and poles

    Sing to em

    See I got no backboard
    Background
    Was black
See that factor there, got me past here
Cuz I worked two times harder to get here
    To a place
Where I’ll get a degree and be facing toilet paper
    On aisle 10
But I’m telling this ain’t the end

    Sing to em

    Long time
    And I know
    A change gon come

The end I ain’t even seen
But see I got this dream
And the cashiers won’t stop me
    Nor the managers
And the capping, laughing, asking us we still retail
A day my stock gon sell
    Right now, I’m in hell
    But here come 70L
And the Lords work I spell
I was quiet at first without him
    But now I yell

    A long time
    A long time coming
But I know a change gon come

When a young a student like me
    In my position
In the middle between good and bad
    Rich and poor
Won’t have to break they back, lose sleep
Sleep in class and grind no more
He won’t have to do it like me
Struggling thru to get a degree
And they still don’t hire me
But it’s been a long time
    I know

    Sing to em

To see that star, build a rocket, learn to be a pilot, fly out of this universe, and still not be able to touch it....whew...I hear ya. Keep those flows coming.
