Feds are offering a $1 million reward to snare Assata Shakur, now in Cuba
    Monday, May 02, 2005
    BY RICK HEPP
    Star-Ledger Staff
The U.S. Department of Justice has posted a $1 million bounty for the capture of New Jersey's most-wanted fugitive: Assata Shakur, the former Black Liberation Army member who escaped a state prison a quarter of a century ago.

The reward will be announced by Attorney General Peter Harvey and State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes at the State Police headquarters in West Trenton today, -- the 32nd anniversary of the slaying of state Trooper Werner Foerster during a gunfight on the New Jersey Turnpike. Chesimard was convicted of murdering Foerster by shooting him twice as he lay wounded.
The $1 million will be the largest reward ever set by the federal government on a New Jersey fugitive, state police say. Police had offered $150,000 for Assata's capture since 1998.

Authorities know Assata is living in Cuba under political asylum. They hope this new reward will provide more incentive for bounty hunters.

This reminds me of the unlimited energy exerted by slave masters ...

when one of our Ancestors escaped.

May God and our Ancestors forever protect our Sister.

Thanks for sharing Brother Pharaoh Jahil.

Ashe, Pan and Destee, these "remember the alamo" devils will never change. May God, the lesser gods and the Ancestors protect our sister. She is deeply in my prayers.

I can't believe this. They can go after someone who they CLAIM to have killed someone over 20 years ago, but they can't find Bin Laden who they CLAIM masterminded 9/11? Events like this are more than just events. It's the new form of population control.

So far, There's talk going around about what type of action should be taken against this injustice by many of her supporters. I'm thinking we start off with a protest in each city just to let the government know where we stand.

Help spread the word in your communities, bring this to the attention of your local community activists, Discuss this with fellow black freedom fighters/conscious brothers & sisters in your circles, print flyers....take some kind of action.

I was discussing with members at her web site that I believe the government is trying to shun any political figure who has a strong enough influence to move black people..So far they have either killed many of our leaders, or locked them in the belly of the beast (with many facing death row).

Respectfully...and not to take your valuable post off subject but...

When I first read this exerpt it was like deja vu because I rembered hearing that name "Chesimard" somewhere.

    It sounded so familiar....Chesimard....

For an hour, I kept trying to place where I heard that name then it hit me.

From the P.E. song Rebel Without A Pause:

"Radio - suckers never play me
On the mix they just O.K. me
Now known and grown when they're clocking my zone it's known
Snakin' and takin' everything that a brother owns
    Hard - my calling card
Recorded and orderd - supporter of Chesimard
Loud and proud kickin' live next poet supreme
Loop a trooper, bazooka, the scheme"

Chuck D is a supporter of brother Chesimard who "allegedly" looped a trooper for the struggle.

So much of the brilliance of Public Enemy and the science they dropped makes sense to me now, even when I was too young to understand it and wasn't familiar with our history.

    Truly Disgusting

And easy to see through. So Fuentes says they owe it to Werner's family. How many trillions do they owe to the families of our brothers and sisters? Was there so much as a two dollar bounty for the slayer of Tupac, the folks who die everyday in the washington areas from unknown bullets? They say "cop-killer" like that makes a world of difference.

The fishy part is they made the man get out of his car because his license didn't match his car's registration--like it's against the law to drive someone else's car. If the license is legit and the car is not known to be stolen why did they bother him? This situation was racist from the very beginning.

I feel you Money. It's sad how they are putting so much money towards the capture of this sister for a murder, but where is the justice for all the lynchings and murders of blacks for the past 50leven years? Only in America.
