    A Blues For My Love

    My love is blues
    Like Miles Davis blues
    And
    As 'Unforgettable'
    As Nat King Cole
    In tune
    With Charlie Parker's tunes
    And the jazzy sounds
    Of saxophones
    Muddy
    Like Muddy Waters
    Muddy
    Until
    The heavy rains
    Bring me home
    And when
    Billie Holiday
    Brings her 'Loverman'

    I sing a blues
    For my love...

    A Love 4 My Blues

    you speak poetiks, reminding me I got a
    love for my blues ~ see

    I be
    keeping company
    with vinyl, spinning
    sounds on "Quiet Nights"
    with Miles, yeah
    "Kind Of Blue" brass
    muted sweet & sexy ***....;)

    you speak poetiks, and I remember
    "Why I Sing The Blues" with
    B.B. and Lucille,
    what a soulful trio we make!
    letting the magic feel
    of low down lovin overtake
    & in comes Etta James
    braggin bout her "Good Rockin' Daddy"

    I smile when you speak poetiks,
    cuz Big Joe Turner told me
    "It's All Right Baby",
    in my memory
    ***
    they all gather in my solitary room
    "Round Midnight", every other "Stormy
    Monday" and the "W.O.M.A.N." I be cries
    out loud cuz I "Got A Right To Love My Baby"...

    and a sho nuf serious love for my blues
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    thank you, Blackbelle, you inspire me :)
    there is
    powerful ink in this room. You, sister Blackbelle, speak eloquence in such rhythmic waves....I feel your blues, and purples, and every shade of red, and brown, and black. Yes, your scribe is truly inspiring.
    Thank you
    Envisioning a smokey club, and the greats singing about love and loss. Feeling this vibe.
