Is Coconut Oil Bad for Your Cholesterol?

... That brings us back to coconut oil, which can contain up to 40 percent saturated fat. Interestingly, countries with the highest intakes of coconut oil have the lowest rates of heart disease.

While research shows coconut oil contains higher amounts of saturated fat and does increase total cholesterol, those amounts do not increase your heart attack or stroke risk.

In fact, one study among lean, heart disease- and stroke-free Pacific Islanders who consumed up to 63 percent of their calories from coconut fat found total cholesterol rose but so did their “good” HDL ...

Why You Need to Be Using Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is nothing short of a one-jar wonder. While you’ve likely heard that the ingredient should be added to your daily meals as it touts healthy vitamins, minerals, and that good kind of fat (and hopefully you’ve cooked your morning scrambled eggs in it for a delicious flavor boost!), this natural potion boasts far more clout outside the kitchen, too ...

I just used some toothpaste today with coconut oil in it.
That was right after I had coconut oil on toast (because its better than butter).
I'm not gonna lie, I do a lot of stuff with coconut oil.

You are right on point man, coconut oil is virtuous!

TRUTH ABOUT FATS: 24 REASONS TO EAT MORE COCONUT

... There’s more to it though. Coconut oil isn’t just another fat that’s handy to have in the kitchen. Like butter, coconut oil is REALLY GOOD for you!

COCONUT OIL IS ANTI-MICROBIAL (IT FIGHTS THE BAD BUGS)
Coconut oil is made up largely of a medium-chained fatty acid called lauric acid. In the body, lauric acid is formed into monolaurin and the body uses monolaurin to destroy harmful bacteria ...

I drink coconut water, cook with coconut milk and coconut oil. I use coconut oil on my natural hair. Coconut shells are also good as mulch in your flower beds. Mmmm...pineapple, coconut smoothie. And if u want a bolder smoothie...add some coconut rum with crushed ice.
