    You know I would :).

    In reviewing the video:

I would not administrate interaction with law enforcement in this manner.
    He is way too emotional.
He is not speaking of law in such a way that "it gets close to home".

    Couple issues:

The speaker can ask law enforcement for their business cards.
Those police officers are officers of the municipality (city).

Police often separate people for it is easier to break them down psychologically as individuals as well as play one member against the other although they claim they will do this for safety reasons.

Notice he did not provide a name. Only do this if you know what you are doing and are prepared for the consequences. If not, give a first and last name ONLY. Give nothing more. No age. No address. No SSN. Nothing else.

Check out the Supreme Court case Hiibel v. Nevada (2004).

A name is the beginning of the investigation.

You are always free to make inquiry.
You are always free to ask "Am I free to go"?

There are other questions you can ask such as:

What is your reasonable suspicion for this stop?

I generally like to avoid answering any questions with direct statements.
Statements become admissions which law enforcement will use against you in court if it comes to that. This point is VERY important.

There are other court cases that deal with police encounters.
If anyone is interested, simply inquire.

This is a beginning of rules of engagement with law enforcement. There are many other areas of study including encounters, detention, apprehension (arrest), reasonable suspicion, probable cause, search warrants, arrest warrants, booking, probable cause hearing, arraignment, bail bonds, charges, criminal proceedings, how to file charges against law enforcement if you believe they have committed a tort against you, police officers, peace officers, oaths of office, blanket insurance polices, writ of habeas corpus, and much, much more.

Kudos to the gentleman in the video for standing up to law enforcement.

Very few will do this. Most will "take it in the shorts" from start to finish.

The biggest problem I have with the videos I furnished is lack of civility towards the officers.

Be respectful, but don't sleep on your rights.
