Hopefuly we an send ourprayers, psitivevibes and creative ideas, to help by any means necessary those endurig this.

Hopefully one day we can have a national utlity asistance program for Black elderly who may have trouble ith AC bills, nd get ACsor dehumifiers for Black elderly who do not, as welll as roving water trucks to distribute clean filtered cold water on such days

Wow, Bro.Clyde, thats the difference. I didn't remember the heat of the 80's being like this. I never stop shopping during the 80's heatwave. It was a dry heat of sorts. but this heat, when you open the door, it takes your breath away, you can't breathe...if as tho' all the oxygen is gone from the air. This is simply brutal. So, I just stay in and enjoy Destee.com and the exchange of information, ideas and solutions that some offer. Coco (my chihuahua) is having a hard time. She went out one day, got too hot..
when I finally got her in the house..... .she rush to her water bowl, put both front feet in, then turn around and put both back feet in,
I was cracking up, then she put her belly over the bowl..I was done...LOL!
