    Welcome to Destee Lanai...

Hope your stay here is all that hope for and imagined in a Black website. Look around make yourself comfortable...

I bet the S.A.G. and all the other thespians are shaking their collective heads right about now as Three 6 Mafia rides off on spinners clutchin an Oscar holding it out the window. These guys are now in the company of John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman and there is nothing anybody can do about it....

    Peace.....

Yeah, wow, what a shame........They couldn't have picked a better facet of Hip-Hop, and of Blackness to represent us?:bam:

    i THINK SYMBOLIZE THE MOVIE
    3-6 mafia and there struggles
To get where they have in just in music
There lives its just to me as long as blacks in general
Are doing something that gets the world
Attention in a positive way is all good with me

Bro, you actually think talking about being a "pimp" is positive? It's not what you do, it's also why you do it.

Pumping poison through a song, destroys our people's minds, just as much as pumping poison through a needle.

I just mentioned in another thread, that there are at least a dozen Hip-Hop groups that have done movie scores in the last year....Material that is heart-felt, relevant to whatever movie it was in, and most of all INTELLIGENT.

Yet none of these groups got the slightest mentioning.

We can get the world's attention with something positive. However, this was not about getting anyone's attention......In fact, it was about preventing it.

White people are constantly showing us what they think of us, by showing the world the worst that we have to offer, not he best.

I see that you are a fan of 3-6's "music", but do you honestly feel that, in quality and quantity, this is the best that Hip-Hop/Rap music has to offer?
