...narrow your friends to one hand and life'll be grand...

a bulletin says
"Exit 30- welcome to the promised land"
and i had to jump 29 fences of projection
toward truth and consequences
to finally being a descent conscience man..
it was all in my mama's plan
and as sure as the heavens and earth were given me from her hand...
may my God rest her soul...
just as sure as she show me wisdom her 3rd son would soon understand
and that's why
the closer i get to the Sun
the further my love is for my orange moon
and two stars
by which my world spins
while our blind youth prefer ends, new cars,
desperate wives and convenient girlfriends which spurs their end...
( i been there i sinned there
my wheels spinned there but God delivered me a pen there
)
but if anything these things
define you(th) for the worse
driving your future in a hearse
somewhat steered by political, social and mediocre pallbearers
but is the homes' lack of solidarity that gives outside leverages
that eventually buries our black youth in the dirt....
and the truth... it hurts
it flirts in the sheets of faith and reality
when all l want is a bigger salary and a clear mentality
and by the 35th fence retire
and show those after me how to jump the barb wire...

p.s
the older i get the sexier i am.....
consider this "outtake" an integral piece of the poem
