    I came across a post that Destee has placed talking about the depression and all off that....I've gone through some similar things as well...and I usually don't post things this close to me but it's part of the healing process so here goes:

    :angel1:

    With no hate in my heart I put the page a-flame
    many losses in the game
    but I played nonetheless,
    stuck out my chest
    and did my best to survive…..
    24 days to my demise,
    I hope this message comes to light.
    Let the little ones hear it
    and may thy spirit be blessed;
    always do your best
    and slay those haters to their death!!
    Dyin’ ain’t no bad thing
    because we’ve been encircled by deadly
    rings and cages of rage tryin’ like …..
    to be free—
    Days we’ve been locked down easily
    by communities who feel it’s best to put away
    criminals convicted by a justice system erected by evil entities!!!!
    But not me, not me!
    I’m a believer in poetry,
    constructed with musically mastered individuals;
    so of you so low you barely understand,
    preconceived notions of judging
    a man or woman
    with the actions they’re forced
    to do;
    systemic organization of an organism is forced do-do—****!
    Don’t u see, ****** and crackas think
    I’m way too deep; but that’s just the way I be lookin’ at things.
    Drinking and blowing circular rings of weed through
    my mouth, no doubt,
    I’ll be doing poetry on my last daily
    before that bullet go through my dome—
    I’m all alone.
    Alone in the land of leaches
    who rest on beaches that hold their
    summer home.
    Surrounded by capitalist, who hold dear
    to their riches, like most hold dear to their child;
    rest now, rest now.
    Rest your five-dollar bills
    and wills that hold fortunes to favor
    next generations—
    Rest young nation rest.
    Rest for future days will be paved with struggle,
    taxes and ***** will be doubled, your troubles will seem like eternity,
    however be guided by all that is heavenly, and greater than thee…
    Destiny will show its face and whether it’s a worldwide war,
    or a peace plan erected,
    sooner or later, all will share the same plate or fate….
    No longer there, my hair will humbled by pictures and memories,
    take stock of the journey that
    you and me took.
    Whether babbling like a brook or
    smoking a blunt—****…we had fun.
    I was Clarence, or Bras,
    whateva’ u called me, I hoped u laughed,
    so please take comfort in that.
    Share the stories with my family and please,
    Somebody hug my homies:
    Dee, Z, T, and my nephew and niece, Jr and Bri…
    Don’t forget Vi, T, and Laine, homies there through the pain, the games
    and life—neva' had a wife;
    but if I did she’d be a mix between
    Vi and Whit, Rachael, and ‘Randa
    so please, for me, somebody hold ‘em when the news is passed…..
    Next lifetime, next lifetime.
    Next lifetime gonna be fine like the first shine of light,
    can’t stop till I get something right, so I pass the mic to my ancestors
    and to That which is greater than I
    To That which is greater than I …….

    (C)2004 Clarence Barbee

    I feel you on that one. Somedays, we just feel like we won't make it....dapz.

    You really should come to voice chat http://www.destee.com/chat so that we can hear you flow. I hear how I think you would flow on the mic in my head. But, there's nothing like the poet stepping to the mic and rippin' it.

    I think you would also enjoy our Special Guest, Mr. Neely Fuller, Jr. He will be in chat with us next Wednesday night at 9pm ET. Come and check this brotha out. He was here last Wednesday and the Family had a great time. I'm sure you will too. And we can ask him any questions we'd like. Think about it.

    You should think about becoming a Premium Member also. I'm sure you will enjoy the benefits. And I'm sure you can bring something to the Family that's missing.

    Great drop, bruh...dapz.

    :thanks: for sharing your life's experience with us.

    :toast:

    Those were some deep thoughts to share. Hopefully it was a release to share them. I can't say that i have been in your exact place, but I have been depressed, and not ashamed to admit it. Sometimes you have to get by with the will of the Lord(if you believe) and also, you sometimes have to push to make it just thru a second. Then through a minute, then and hour, and so on. This has worked for me in the past. Keep writing, you are very talented. This was a very emotive piece, and I liked the way you posed it.

    I enjoyed this post. This is deep as you said. I liked the mention of lifes struggles, :kick: and resting as you come back :run: to battle another day.
    Things are mentioned that lead one to believe there may be thoughts of ending the struggle. Don't ever do that, it will be over soon enough. You may yet complete your mission. So never check out of the game. Keep flowing poet.
