21st CENTURY
21st Century sending me fiery imagery.
I foresee the symphony of our misery.
A history of cruelty, hypocrisy, and secrecy,
From the ruling fraternity,
Has decreed us to the casualties that we all see.
This trilogy,
A blasphemy to the true trinity,
Brings no flattery to humanity.
From infacy to maturity,
Our global sea of ebony and ivory,
Brought about by heavenly imagery
For the promotion of individuality, diversity and unity,
Instead has breed fallacy, tyranny, and slavery.
The tapestry of our biology,
Rich with brilliancy, variety, and majesty,
Must have a greater destiny,
Yet my poetry keeps me on bended knee
In great company, for honestly
I hate our inhumanity.
In the drapery of diplomacy, policy, and equality
Hides indecency, rivalry, and disparity.
This legacy of our ancestry culminates in
Two…zero…zero…three
With a battery of weaponry,
Political quackery,
And Papal debauchery,
Yet what many see is
True chivalry,
Loyalty to hierachy,
And dependency to papacy.
My curiosity leads me
To fantasy of a utopian family,
Yet reality of my negrito authenticity,
Brought to me daily, with subtlety,
From the eyes, mouths, and hands of
Many
Is true consistency with the
Activity of witchery inbedded deep within our
Anatomy.
Watery at most,
It moves with little fluidity of decency, charity, or purity.
A tendency to thievery, trickery, and treachery,
With the audacity it holds animosity to its own true capacity.
Infinitely blessed; rich in complexity…
So blind to its ability to create incredible melodies;
Its levity to bring much needed comedy;
Its sentimentality to bring harmony.
I now see our greatest enemy is we!
