    Peace and Blessings Family,

I didn't go to college, so i'm living all of this vicariously through my Daughter.

She just recently announced to me that she has received the Ford Fellowship.

She's in graduate school, so not only have i graduated from college via her, i'm in graduate school too! :D

Of course i knew nothing of the Ford Fellowship, and only realized it must be something good, based on the way she announced it to me.

So i thought i'd share it with you all too.

For those of you who don't know ... SmartGurl is my Daughter, a Member here, though she's not very active anymore. Here's a couple of her threads from times gone by:

Have you taken the SAT and ACT?

    No more African-American Scholarships

Years ago, we use to have a Teen Chat and Teen Moderators. She, along with Sisters Eisha and Krazelyricks (aka Sister Foxy) handled all of that for us! They eventually grew up, began planning for college, looking forward to the summer, and stopped doing these things.

I'm proud of her, even though i don't know the full impact of receiving a Ford Fellowship.

    Thanks for letting me share.
