    Peace and Blessings Family,

I have made some changes to the - Black History - Culture - Pan-Africanism - Forum.

Yes, that was just one forum, but it has been split into 2 others, so far.

1 - All Things Africa - a forum where all Africa specific threads can be
2 - Pan-Africanism - African Diaspora - a forum where the these discussions can be

I also changed the name of the original forum - Black History - Culture - Pan-Africanism.

It is now called ... African American History Culture - for better focus.

I finally get it, after 20 years! ... Brother panafrica would be so proud of me! :)

In addition to the 2 new forums above, they are also within a new category - Africa - and we can add more forums under it, as the need presents itself. I do expect it to grow.

I have moved some threads to both of the new forums, from the original forum and will do more as I'm able. I do see there are more, not only in the original forum, but all around the house, laying in closets, under beds, alla that - so I will be working on improving the housekeeping. I appreciate everyone's help by creating your threads in the forums that best fit the topic.

YAAAAAAAAAAY AFRICA! ... :flowers: ... :flowers: ... :flowers:

If you have any questions, please ask.

    Much Love and Peace.

I heard Donald Trump changed or wanted to change black history month on February to African American history month.Dont know the full story but How u do u guys feel about this.

    Cos Destee just said...

"I also changed the name of the original forum - Black History - Culture - Pan-Africanism.

It is now called ... African American History Culture - for better focus."

Do you guys feel African History and African American History should be separate? War was declared on black people everywhere from the continent, which is Africa to the black people in Australia, Dark skinned people in Asia, India etc everywhere so black history is us uniting to learn about us.

    Hi Brother rapchild,

I had no idea Trump said this. I do not listen to him.

The reason for my doing it, is this newfound surge of desire to learn about Africa here at destee.

It's kinda deep, as this has been a long time coming.

It is rooted in our PanAfrican forum, which is how it all started for me years ago.

Members (panafrica) sharing information on that topic over the years and I didn't really get it.

I think I get it now, which is why there is this yearning to learn, and thus came the change for me.

I think African Americans are that ... Africans in America.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the whole of the African Diaspora, the many names we're called.

It's like the African British ... I'm not sure how they self identify ... but they are a part of the Diaspora too.

This part of building up our community to accommodate all of us, is still unclear to me.

A picture is beginning to emerge, a way that I can house us all efficiently and effectively, but not clear yet.

Personally, I don't care what anyone calls themselves. We come from a long line of names right here in america.

We've been called some of everything. I have no problem with how people self identify.

I'm just trying to figure out a way to house us all efficiently and effectively.

I do not mean any disrespect to any of us and will be cautious not to offend.

It's just so big, what they did to us, and what we now must unravel and figure out - at least for me.

I'm sure others know all of this and could easily pull it off, but i'm the one doing it, and i gotta go slow :)

I see me making a lot of changes over the next little while, due to this burst of enthusiasm for Africa.

I don't know if it will all happen. I realize change must be done efficiently and effectively too.

So it gives me great reason to be sure and careful moving forward - i don't want to shock any of us.

So no ... I did not hear Trump ... I don't listen to him ... and my decision had nothing to do with him.

If you have suggestions on how i can proceed, being the African expert that you are, let me know ...

Also ... tell me your opinion on this topic too please ... The handshake is not considered African.

If you have more questions please ask.

    Much Love and Peace.
