Black Children : 16-Year-Old Who Who Was Whooped By His Uncle on Facebook Dies

Wow, you people just now commenting on this?...Better late than never, huh?

timing is one thing.. substance is another. I started to create my own thread about this but decided to do a search first.. rather than have two threads on the same topic.. I decided to occupy this one.. your video link is broken and you didn't really say anything about the situation so It was like starting from scratch.

I agree with Brother jamesfrmphilly ... this is so sad ... :(

Brother skuderjaymes ... i have a similar story regarding my Son ... beating them does not always work like a parent / guardian hopes it might ... i may do a video on this topic ... this is so sad ... but yes, at about 12, my Son was laughing at my beating efforts too ... i wasn't laff'n ... :whip: ... but he was ... yeah ... this may be a good Single Black Mother Video i can do.

We're so quick to lay blame, look for someone to pin the travesty on, but there are oftentimes SO MANY circumstances and variables feeding the outcome ... some we can't even see and have no real control over ... especially when it comes to our young Black Men ... their early deaths ... their overwhelmingly disproportionate incarceration rates ... this is not a new song ... it's an old tired negro hymn ... the blues at their best ... parents / guardians are often scrambling in their heart, mind, spirit, and body for ways to save their babies ... but the odds are so against them ... if one thing don't get your baby ... another will ... there's no safety net for them ... and God forbid you as the parent or guardian does something that can ultimately be looked at as questionable ... (as if all parents don't do questionable things) ... the weight of that burden being carried for life ... it's an unending and unyielding fear of what may come ... and this is for the babies still living ... it's terrible.

but for the grace of God go i

sad sad sad

Every thing you've just said here speaks so much volume....

I got my last @SS whooping from my mother at 17. I was in the kitchen and mind you, my mother was only 5 ft 1 in tall. She tricked me to the back of the kitchen like she wanted me to get something. Then she got a soda bottle (back then they were still making glass bottles) and she broke it and held the broken glass to my stomach so I couldn't move from where I was boxed in while she whipped my @ss with the other hand. If nothing else, I learned very very early that when my mother said; "I bought you into this world and I'll take you out", she meant that ish!!!...and I knew that she meant it. I think that the uncle, father or whatever simply waited too late to reach their son or nephew.

I'm sorry but this had me spitting out my tea and laughing at the same time. **** near choked on this here you said. Praise yo mama and i thank her for raising you right.

Everybody has their opinion or whatnot on what this uncle should'v and shouldn't have done. Comprehending on what Destee just said,..it aint easy raising a child in a city that is indulged in criminal activities.

Gangs and crimes are so bad up in New Orleans. And to think i almost moved there just because i wanted my kids to learn to the music skills there. That quickly changed my mind when a family member's baby got shot by a driveby shooting.

Parents just need to think of other solutions before putting the belt to the behind. Thats all i'm say'n..
