1.3 Million Unemployed Won't Get Benefits Restored After Senate Fails to Overcome Filibuster
    by Stephen Ohlemacher

WASHINGTON - More than 1.3 million laid-off workers won't get their unemployment benefits reinstated before Congress goes on a weeklong vacation for Independence Day.

An additional 200,000 people who have been without a job for at least six months stand to lose their benefits each week, unless Congress acts.

For the third time in as many weeks, Republicans in the Senate successfully filibustered a bill Wednesday night to continue providing unemployment checks to people who been laid off for long stretches. The House is slated to vote on a similar measure Thursday, though the Senate's action renders the vote a futile gesture as Congress prepares to depart Washington for its holiday recess.

A little more than 1.3 million people have already lost benefits since the last extension ran out at the end of May.

    No they are not sad

"they" are doing their job, as they have intended to do wickedness assiduously

    what is sad is that

we have forgotten the concept of the African village

we have forgotten the message of a Black man 2010 years ago that said,
Love thy Neighbor as thy Self, and feed the hungry and clothe the naked

we have forgotten the message of another Black man only
    50 years ago;
that said in "Message to the Black Man"

THE DUTY of the Black Man

is to do something for his Black self and Black kind.
THE DUTY of the BLACK MAN IS self-preservation.

EVERY LIFE that is created on the planet earth has a duty. It is bound to this duty, by nature, to do something for self.

THE ONCE slave Black Man in America -- enslaved by the white people, his white slave master and enemy, made the Black Man a subject and keeps him a subject by depriving the Black Man of the knowledge of self and the doing for self.
These are the two most hated things which the white man hates to have come to the Black Man --

the freedom to DO something for Black self and the freedom to THINK for his Black self.
He hates for the Black Man to be a visionary for his Black self.

He hates for the Black Man to control ideas that will produce recognizable constructive plans and doing for Black self.
