INSPIRATION FIIIXER OF THE WEEK: 16-YEAR OLD MOREHOUSE COLLEGE STUDENT NAMED AMONG “WORLD’S 50 SMARTEST TEENAGERS” MARCH 17, 2014
16-year old Morehouse College student Stephen R. Stafford II has been making headlines since he enrolled in college at age 11. Now he’s adding another distinction to his evolving list of accolades. TheBestSchools.org has named him among “The World’s 50 Smartest Teenagers.”
A Detroit native, Stafford was home-schooled by his mother. But he was learning so quickly that he wound up having to take college level courses and his mother could not keep up. He originally enrolled at Georgia State University at age 11, but says that he left the school because he never felt welcome. He then enrolled at Morehouse College where he is currently working on a triple major of pre-med, mathematics and computer science.
