This news story is from 2010. If she's still living, she'd be 107 now.

Mrs. Moore was born May 28, 1907 and has always had a passion for people and being involved in different organizations that are of service to God and others. She attended grammar and high school in York, SC andexcelled in all of her subjects. Many times she would stay up until 2:00 AM to get her homework completed. She also loved to play basketball. She graduated from Jefferson High School with honors. After she completed Jefferson, she attended York Training School and completed training as a Domestic Specialist, earning a Certified Teacher Certificate.

Mrs. Moore was married to the late Robert Moore until his passing in 1967. They had 12 children (four deceased), 34 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. And she continues on with her walk with Christ.

In her honor it’s Willa Mae Moore Day on Praise 100.9!
