This happened at the L'Enfant Plaza Subway Station, the biggest hub in the DC metro system. For nearly 10 years, I used to transfer here and get off one stop up at the Archives Subway Station, to get to my job at the National Gallery of Art. Couldn't help but to reminiscent a little. Anyway the timing of this sounds very suspicious. Still waiting to see what was behind this.

1 dead, dozens hurt after Metro car fills with smoke

At least 2 people riding the Metro railcars near L’Enfant Plaza remain critical. NTSB said an electrical problem was to blame.
