the root of the issue......
i been saying that for a minute. (see : stockholm syndrome) that why we spend so much energy venting on one another and not the other. why nobody ever done a drive by on rush or bill yet we shoot each other every week. why we pray to his jesus to please protect us from the devil (him). why we try so hard to assimilate.
yes, that is the root issue.
Well, I do want to thank you for being man enough and honest enough to come out and say that. This thread had over 80 views and no one had either the courage or honesty to admit the truth I laid out here. Not only that...with the amount of churches and mosque that we all have in our neighborhoods, just those so called Christians claiming to believe in Jesus and the Muslims claiming to believe in Allah would be a movement in itself in terms of cleaning up our communities "If they come out and do the work that their Jesus would have done...do the work that their prophet Muhammad would have done. Instead they hide and bury themselves inside, away from the very people they claim need so much help". Hypocrisy has no ends at all !
some folk say that the truth hurts.
i say that the truth shall set you free.
I agree wholeheartedly Bro. Keita Kenyatta.
this is the most powerful statement i've seen since i've been here, and every word is true.
And imagine...there's a post on this site with "50 whole things" and here is simply 1 little thing to do....and in reality this takes us back to the fear factor because I know it was seen by many readers and understood by them also.
you know keita, when i look at our people i see the phychological damage that the[trans-atlantic slave trade]has done to us,when i hear folks say-why ya'll still talkin bout that slave stuff-i have to shake my head because even as it's explained to them they still don't understand, nor do most of us want to.
Well said. I agree.
