New York, NY, September 10, 2007–In the first major new production on holiday magic in New York City comes the revolutionary Apollo Circus of Soul—an exciting, surprising, visually stunning urban circus. Beginning this November 23, the legendary Apollo Theater, which has entertained New Yorkers and visitors for generations, will host this modern, hip, urban circus - jam-packed with music, comedy, illusion, acrobatics and, of course soul. A new generation of audiences will experience this electrifying Circus of Soul at the Apollo - one of the world’s greatest venues – which is currently experiencing a long-awaited renaissance.
The Apollo Circus of Soul will be a non-stop extravaganza and, for the 2007 holiday season, Uptown will not only experience, but feel a fast-paced, beautifully choreographed, supercharged explosion of talent and illusionism….unique holiday entertainment. From the fast-paced stunts of the Double Dutch Jumpers to the impossibly agile hoop-dunking acrobats to a 75-year-old Rapping Granny, Autum Ashante’ and with musical performers that will make the legendary “ghosts” of the Apollo proud, The Apollo Circus of Soul is set to reinvent entertainment for the holidays.
Led by long-time entertainment professional, radio personality and Ringmaster “Casual Cal”, this spectacular show is an exciting and original entertainment event created specifically for the Apollo Theater.

The Apollo will present six Apollo Circus of Soul shows per week for five weeks, beginning on November 23rd. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster starting September 10, 2007.
