‘SCIENCE GUY’ BILL NYE VS. CREATIONIST KEN HAM: WHO WILL WIN THE BIG DEBATE OVER DARWINIAN EVOLUTION?

There’s been no shortage of controversy surrounding Tuesday’s debate between “Science Guy” Bill Nye and creationist Ken Ham. While some evolutionary theorists and atheists have chastised Nye for his willingness to publicly face-off against Ham, the former PBS host hasn’t been swayedby their arguments.
Instead, Nye has defended his decision to appear at the event, which will be held at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky. — and in an op-ed published on CNN.com Monday, Ham, too, reiterated his own personal quest to use the debate to give creationism a more public voice.

If Nye knows anything about the religion, all he has to do is point out how creationism is pure heresy.

Science is predicated on the ability to do reproducible, accurate measurements. The bible says it is foolish for people to even think they can comprehend HIM. Do I really need to flesh this out for yall?

    Wikipedia - Heresy Entry

Creationism, in general and as presented by Ken Ham, aren't at odds with the view that's presented in the bible.

Sections of the Bible allude to the Christian god as being the architect of all things and that there is evidence in how things are "ordered" in the Universe. Other sections outright say that it's proof/a literal account (though they tend not to hold up).

Is it just attempting to understand that you're objecting with?

This is a really weird end of this conversation to be on, but it's fascinating that creationism is considered heresy by someone.

That debate was very interesting. It was a first for me on the topic. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and it
only reinforced my beliefs. There is lots to be said for science, but the mystery that Mr. Nye was speaking about is God!!

This debate will be on youtube for a few days. Those interested should listen for yourselves. From the tone presented here by both sides of the topic, there will
    not be anyone's beliefs changed.

But as I've said, the debate and the facts or lack there of proving the science
point of view, Ken Ham had a book (the Bible) that answered the orgin of all living things plus many other fascinating facts.

It seems to me you need to make up your mind and flush out things for yourself, because what you are saying now is far different from what you've said:

"If Nye knows anything about the religion, all he has to do is point out how creationism is pure heresy."

To say that creationism is pure heresy is ludicrous and doesn't make sense
