Alone On New Year's Eve - The Manhattans

Holiday heartbreak from The Manhattans. Released in 1966 on Carnival Records (Car-524), "Alone On New Year's Eve" is one of their finest tracks. The harmonies on the chorus may have been borrowed from The Temptations' "Ol Man River", but that's OK! It lends itself very well to this tune. The mid-60s Carnival period was (I believe) The Manhattans best era. Less commercial, but definitely more soulful. Happy New Year everybody & enjoy this blast from the past!!!
