Hollywood, #MeToo Leaders Tackle R Kelly: ‘Sony, Live Nation Can Drop Him’

The problematic relevance of R&B singer R. Kelly was among the hottest topics debated by Hollywood and media power players — and the founder of the #MeToo movement — on Friday in Los Angeles.

Kelly has been accused of having sex with minors and was tried and acquitted for child pornography, among other assault accusations dating as far back as 1994. He still enjoys a music and touring career with a rapt fan base.

I don’t listen to R Kelly’s music. Mostly because Motown is still playing in my house.
If I need a love song, I listen to the best, Smokey Robinson.

Searching online for updates to METOO, R. Kelly is still the bright and shiny child predator that Black people love. Love R. Kelly more than the young girls he’s accused of brainwashing and having rape sex with.

Why do we continue to set the bar so low for low life criminals, like R. Kelly. Some even defend him. He is a liability for Black females.

Recently, disturbing reports have surfaced from parents and former entourage members who allege R. Kelly is holding multiple women in a sex cult in which he controls their every move, physically and emotionally punishes them if they break his rules, and films his sexual encounters with them to share with his friends.

Despite all of this information being on the public record, Kelly continues to tour, release albums, collaborate with artists like Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga, and be honored at events like BET’s Soul Train Awards. R. Kelly should not profit while he continues to victimize women.
