Thanks for that Mr. C. This is already a hot button debate on some other blogs and forums and I want to read what's being said in the contract security industry myself before commenting here. If this becomes a nationwide groundswell there is a lot of money to be made if the professionals convince skittish pastors and their nervous flock to turn security of houses or worship over to them. On another note I thought I read somewhere that he was going to have the church demolished. Also the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas had to lay off a significant number of staff since that mass shooting. Right now Americans as a whole have to be experiencing what has to be close to mass hysteria, everybody seems stresses out and some are obviously suffering from some sort of paranoia and mental trauma from one day to another. If this doesn't stop America will completely go to HELL with itself.

Not a problem Symbol of America, no, not at all, yvw ... Correct, its scheduled to be demolished and possibly, some of the site will be turned into a memorial garden, pending the congregation's final say.

Having security in churches is nothing new, however recent church shootings may cause an increase, across the board.

I appreciate that update, I know the memorial thing seems to be what the survivors seek. I only wish they could move on and make lemonade by replacing the church with a park for the children. Of course a memorial cornerstone would commemorate those lost but elders sitting on brightly colored park benches, while the mothers of children read a novel while the innocent ones enjoy what life has to offer to the world.

Good stuff, I'm sure they'll work it out in Sutherland, the heartland of hospitality.
