Black People Politics : HBCU sells out....

Peace,

I get the logic. Dude said something so he should honor his word. What I don't understand is how people have lost the ability to reason out a situation. This guy doesn't even pay the people he contracts for work. Why should we assume his word will be good towards us people who are opposed to his perspective of white supremacy? I mean there isn't any guess work as to whether this guy wants to poop on black people throughout the country. He's made it clear. Can we not see through his words and read his actions? Are we now blind to that as a people? This dude made his cabinet from clansmen and slave traders. He didn't just chose people who dislike black people, he went and got the worst of the worst.

So the real question is what will these people do when it becomes clear to them that "The Donald" never meant to help out HBCUs and never will? How will they hold him accountable?

Peace
Good question:

But time will tell!

They will keep on doing what they always did. Educate our young people with only state mandated or UNCF aid....

I spent the better part of yesterday on fb saying just about everything you said here to some black folk whose responses left me dazed and confused. Leaving the racial angle aside, I pointed out to black people who were giddy over his having mentioned HBCU's in his speech that this dude's own lawyers refused to meet with him one on one because they learned not to trust anything he told them. And yes, he's stiffed numerous vendors, contractors and suppliers out of money over the years. My question as to whether a proven liar and con artist can be trusted to tell the truth fell on deaf ears as these black people - WHO WERE INITIALLY ANTI-TRUMP & railed against him during the campaign, suddenly lost their minds and softened their stances and high fived each other as if to say "WE'S FREE! WE'S FREE!" because a white man who's a proven liar and con artist spoke some words that were pleasing to their ears. When I raised the common sense question of why we should trust a proven liar and con man, one of them suggested that I was lacking in intelligence for even thinking like that. I kid you not.

Last but not least, with regard to begging the enemy and oppressor of black people for stuff, it occurred to me a long time ago that the vast majority of black people don't look at white supremacists in positions of influence and authority as enemies and oppressors. Rather, they look at them as a role models and saviors. That's the only way to explain why we as a people continue to put our faith in them, despite being lied to, insulted, spat on and conned by these people time and again.

Tell the truth fam,

Stockholm Syndrome........ people either don't know what it is, don't understand and/or don't care.

It's one thing if a person has no other option, it's a whole other thing if they can and should do better.
