Democratic lawmakers are boycotting Trump’s inauguration

About a dozen Democratic lawmakers have announced their intention to skip Donald Trump’s inauguration next week as a protest of the president-elect’s plans for the country.

Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., told Yahoo News she decided she couldn’t celebrate Trump’s inauguration because of his comments during the campaign about temporarily barring Muslims from entering the country and his vow to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border ...

Washington protesters vow to fight for civil rights under Trump

About 2,000 mostly black protesters ignored steady rain to march and rally near Washington's Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, as speakers urged them to fight for minority rights and President Barack Obama's signature healthcare law, which Trump has vowed to dismantle.

Rep. Barbara Lee, not going to Trump inauguration… okay, fine. No problem. She says because of Trump saying he wants to "temporarily ban Muslims" from coming into U.S.. Why is that? Because he is super racist against Muslims? Or is it because he wants to vet their reasons and purposes for coming to the States. If they have been chanting "Death to America" do you want to let them in? Go google what Muslim refugees have been doing in the Nation States that have taken in Muslim Refugees. Do you want our women treated that way? Don't you want to be protected from mass murder? I want to feel secure New Year's Eve on Time Square. Not molested or blown up. We already have domestic ISIS problems. Do we want to have the import variety coming in along with the peaceful? Doesn't everyone think a little looking over who it is that is making their way through the U.S. by vetting them is a good idea? No? Why?
