Black People : What happened to the Black Conscious Community and our Movement?

The more I think about "What happened to the Black Conscious Community and our Movement? " the more I realize how much of our movement was sabotaged by outsiders. Only the uninformed outsiders, and insiders, could conclude that AAs alone are to blame for our current situation.

And, this is not a matter of "victimology", this is a matter of fact!

What is our current situation in your opinion?

The police killings of our people, does highlight some of our weaknesses. Our inability to organise.

There are a few organizations and grassroots movements that have emerged within the black conscious community. Are they the new civil rights movement? No. At least not yet. But I like that these organizations are made up of a lot of young people. These are just the few off the top of my head...

1. Dream Defenders

2. Color of Change

3. Black Lives Matter

4. Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity

5. The Moral Mondays Movement (for those of you in North Carolina)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_Mondays
A grassroots movement made up of local community leaders and residents who protest every monday in support of issues such as racial and social justice and voting rights. The protests started in NC, but have spread to other states: GA, SC, IL, and NM.

Hopefully at some point all of these organizations can find ways to work and grow together to form an even bigger alliance.

I would say, disarray. Presently we have so many issues that we find ourselves in disagreement of what our priorities should be. If we can't define our priorities, we can't defend or develop them collectively. We know unity is fundamental, but we are stuck on defining principles that can we unite under. This is a real problem that other "interest groups" don't seem to have..JMO
