I absolutely can believe that this is true based on my research about this pharaoh and the 18th Dynasty Thutmosis! Wow!

They knew a lot of 'magic' or 'science', in my opinion, because they had other information that the previous Egyptians did not have, and the Bible shows this in ways. For example, even though I still don't completely understand the reality of this but, 'when Moses was written to throw down his staff and it turned into a serpent and the Egyptian magicians did that too, and then they were probably surprised that Moses staff/serpent swallowed up theirs! Moses was able to gain knowledge about 'magic' or 'science' that they had been keeping top secret!

So, that fact that they report now, that King Tut had a carved meteorite, well, I can believe it. So, interesting!

Jannes and Jambres, or sometimes Johanai and Mamre, or Iannes and Mambres, or Janis and Jamberes, are names traditionally given to the magicians who contended with Moses and Aaron and were discomfited by the Hebrew leaders in the Book of Exodus in the Hebrew Bible.
