Today is another made-up product marketing day, celebrating … popcorn.

Popcorn is a wonderful snack that is made up almost entirely of air. A one-ounce serving of stove-top popcorn with a bit of oil can easily fill 3 cups, but has just 120 calories! A serving has 2 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein as well.

A 2012 study at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania found that the amount of polyphenols (a type of antioxidant) in popcorn (300 milligrams per serving) was higher than the amount normally found in fruit (160mg). Polyphenols reduce the risk of diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

I know, I know! That's why I posted this. I found one of your threads. I looked and looked, but couldn't find the other one anywhere.

I was wondering if you knew the method, contained in the link, to microwave your popcorn without all the junk that is standard in store bought microwave popcorn. I didn't.

*smile*

No, I am not aware of the method and choose to stay away from microwaving anything, especially popcorn. Let me check to see what Thread of mine you can't find. If successful, you'll here back from me, k?
