Since the making of the two Mandela movies, I was again inspired (angered) too research what happened over there and why? I am in the process of finishing book number 7, "Miriam's Song", a Memoir by Miriam Mathabane as told to Mark Mathabane, her brother, who fled South Afrika in the 80s to come here to attend school and play tennis! The story starts when she was 13 years od, and covers a lot of the really bad years of the 80s rebellions. It's very easy too read, and is a good book for most children 12 and up. I highly recommend this book for women with young female mentees.
