Black Relationships : Blacks and Whites romantically involved; why does it happen?

This is a very interesting thread. From what I can see on both sides both black men and women are working with alot of hurt feelings. I've been on all kinds of forums and I can see it. Especially on the black womens side of the fence. I think the damage has been done and there is no repair to it. Its pretty sad.

hmmm i think im getting what Shalai might mean though she dint put it in the easiest to understand way...

shes saying only 30% of blacks actually get married - right Shalai?
and we said 90% of the peoople who marry do so to other black folk

not sure those are incompatible - but do you have the link where this 30% figure comes from???

But yes thats exactly what I was saying. Most blacks when they do HAPPEN to marry will marry each other. The issue is they are marrying each other at such a low rate and that maybe a symptom of a bigger problem.
