Is it possible to survive falling into a black hole?

Eight-year-old Dane Rogan Showalter, a science enthusiast, posed this question to "Cosmos" host Neil deGrasse Tyson during a recent segment on HuffPost Live. And Tyson didn't feel a need to dumb down his explanation.

"The way you won't survive is if you go straight to the center. Then you're like, completely ripped apart, so that would be, like, really bloody," Tyson told HuffPost Live's Josh Zepps in the interview on Monday.

Oh my goodness! Expound on this.... or give a link. I've been cheerleading him for a while and need to know if I have to go around passing out the "my bads!"
he recently did a TV series called 'cosmos'.

he referenced the greeks, the romans. he referenced the europeans. the asians.
he not one time referenced any Africans as making any contribution to science.
according to tyson all thinking in history has been done by white people.

he used his TV platform to promote white supremacy.

i figure with friends like him we don't need enemies.
i had to post a nasty note on his website.
