Borrowed from the Sumerians and adjusted to fit Judaism.

There are at least ten reasons why it’s scientifically impossible and thousands of reasons why its impractical.

Still taken as cannon by most denominations.

Islam states that the flood was local

The timeline has a European history bias. At least two African nations and an Asian nation existed during and after the time of the flood.

The curse of Ham

Noah was drunk and masturbating but still able to curse an entire ethnic group. Imagine the damage he could have reaped If he was caught with a prostitute.

Canaan was cursed not Ham so this was a black ethnic group cursed to be servants to all other blacks.

Canaan didn’t do anything and all Ham did was tell his brothers dad passed out masturbating in the tent. He probably shucked and jived as he described it but still.

Canaan was probably chosen since the nation he would father was conquered by Egypt (another son of Ham) and about to be destroyed by the biblical Jews. Actually by the time the Bible was written poor Canaan was already done for.:em18:

There are more questions to this biblical fiction than answers. Pharoah AKUFFU did build an Ark in which He travelled to His Father in the Sky! That is given credence by the paintings in His tomb. Yet, Noah's ark has never been located. Its all fiction, my brethren!

Nkwa Na Ohia!

Nkwa Na Ohia!

Not really more questions Akanyi Kwesi, all have been answered. Here's an excerpt and a link which supports my position:

"Turbidites are Evidence of Rapid Strata Formation

These sedimentary rocks result from sediments of turbidity currents and are believed to comprise as much as 50% of the geological column, and approximately 30 of the deposits visible in the Grand Canyon.

Uniformitarian evolutionists believe that the sedimentation rate for the muds is very slow, requiring tens or hundreds of millions of years for the formation. Holroyd discusses the problems that arise from this model. “At that minuscule rate most organisms of any size would rot and be scavenged long before they could be buried and fossilized. Many evolutionists recognize this problem and opt for periods of rapid sedimentation followed by long periods of non-sedimentation. The problem here is that when there is cessation of sedimentation erosion begins, causing gullies and channels and plant growth develops soils. Most flysch and turbidite deposits, however, show apparently continuous deposition and rarely show evidence of erosion.”...
Holroyd, E.W., 1992, Comments on the Fossils of Dinosaur Ridge. Creation Research Society Quarterly. v. 29, no 1, p. 6-13. [Anita and I had the joy of driving past this ridge in August during a rainstorm. Too bad we didn't stop and look around--ed. Yeah. I'm a wimp!]"

That makes me ask more questions to disprove the link. I know that a such a flood as described in the Bible is impossible so I have to question the notion that the abundance of sedimentary rock proves that there was a great flood.

The link actually produces more questions in addition.

Why isnt that explained by local floods or strong rains during an earthquake.

Why isnt that a case for it being rare but still occurring everywhere over the lifespan of the earth?

Atheist Immanuel Velikovsky wrote: "When a fish dies its body bloats on the surface or sinks to the bottom and is devoured rather quickly, actually in a matter of hours, by other fish. However, the fossil fish found in sedimentary rock is very often preserved with all its bones intact. Entire shoals of fish over large areas, numbering billions of specimens, are found in a state of agony, but with no mark of a scavenger's attack. The explanation of the origin of fossils by the theory of uniformity and evolution contradicts the fundamental principle of these theories: Nothing took place in the past that does not take place in the present. Today no fossils are formed."...

I created a fossil in the 4th grade. This is insane

The Epic of Gilgamesh

Has been of interest ever since its discovery in the mid-nineteenth century in the ruins of the great library at Nineveh, with its account of a universal flood with significant parallels to the Flood of Noah's day.

“The Epic of Gilgamesh is contained on twelve large tablets, and since the original discovery, it has been found on others, as well as having been translated into other early languages. 7) The actual tablets date back to around 650 B.C. and are obviously not originals since fragments of the flood story have been found on tablets dated around 2,000 B.C. 8) Linguistic experts believe that the story was composed well before 2,000 B.C. compiled from material that was much older than that date. 9) The Sumerian cuneiform writing has been estimated to go as far back as 3,300 B.C.” ...O'Brien, "Flood Stories of the Ancient Near East," p. 61

Its the same story but with multiple gods written at least 1,500 years before the Torah. It had an ark, animals, global genocide and a peace treaty at the end. The Sumerian global flood wasn't history, it wasnt religion, it was fiction. The Biblical flood is that same fictional tale with two Sumerian gods removed for the god in the Bible and Noah. The old testament did the same with Egyptian literature. Before Moses parted the red sea there was a story about an Egyptian wizard that did the same.

If you know that such a flood is impossible, then there's nothing else to talk about or answer, since you already know this.

What could possibly be the point for further exchange, except a review of information you rely upon?

You've read the source information and can only ask perfunctory questions, along with making a totally unrelated statement of fossil making:

Why isnt that explained by local floods or strong rains during an earthquake.

Why isnt that a case for it being rare but still occurring everywhere over the lifespan of the earth?

What proof do you offer in support of the Sumerian Flood being fiction? Please provide traceable information.
