I am posting this here because, on another site that I post on, the question was asked concerning "what spirituality is". So far, this is what I have posted there. It may interest some here in terms of their own questions and what's going on. I haven't finished posting there but this is where I am so far.

PART ONE...
Well, well, well....I have been enjoying all these answers to the posed question...and I can not help but to smile at the responses given. Okay, here it goes. Humans have been on the earth for a long long time, and before there was ever any concept of what we call God, Jesus, Buddah, Muhammad or even any so called prophets, humans were spiritual. In fact, they were even more spiritual than we are today. Why so?...because they were ONE WITH NATURE. They didn't have any doctrines, any faith, any beliefs or any books. They were one with nature and nature was one with them. As such, they were one with themselves and the divine nature of themselves even though they themselves were not aware of it. Through their observation of nature and the universe that they were a natural part of, they began to divide the attributes of nature and the universe into feminine and masculine attributes or what we call dualities. As they began doing this for greater understanding of themselves and the universe around them, that became the first step of them moving away from the natural state of their existence which was spiritual in nature.
With it came developed doctrines and catagorizations of what they observed. With it also came something that they never were before...because they were becoming EXTERNALIZED instead of living in the natural internalized condition that they once were. As such, the first element that they recognized and payed homage to was the feminine element of creation and life...thus they began to worship the Goddess long before they ever had a concept of a God. They saw the universe giving birth to new stars and planets. They saw nature giving birth to new life all around them everywhere...and most of all, they saw the woman giving birth to what seemed like out of nowhere. Why so? Because in the begining man was not aware that his act of sex would be the catalyst that would aid in the woman giving birth 9 months down the line. For man in his state of not knowing, the woman was able to do something that he could not do and that he observed nature and the universe as being able to do, also. Thus the woman or Goddess concept was worshipped and payed divine homage to ---long, long before any concept of a God ever emerged. According to the science of DNA, woman was on the planet for 40,000 years before a man ever got here.
