From Otura-Ogbe
ka Ji ni kutukutu
ka mu ohun ipin ko'pin
Dia fun Olomo ajibe 're pade
Emi ni mo ba ire pade l'ola
to wake up early morning
and give destiny its due
divine for the person that will be met with good fortune
it is me that gives destiny its due on my waking in the morning and
therefore it is me that is met with good fortune today.
As one can probably glean from the above Odu, consistent propitiation of our Ori (deified conscious) is central in achieving our individual and colleactive success.
I've had discussions surrounding the role of Ori and our collective African American destiny on occasion. I believe we should approach the topic in a similar way as if someone came to me for Dafa, the exception being instead of one Awo dividing we would have a council of Awos consult for our collective destiny. This could be done once a year.
