Black Spirituality Religion : Ori and its role in Black Self-Sufficiency

For those who are familiar with the concept of Ori, what do you feel is its role to Black people overall given the condition we face in America?

From Otura-Ogbe

ka Ji ni kutukutu
ka mu ohun ipin ko'pin
Dia fun Olomo ajibe 're pade
Emi ni mo ba ire pade l'ola

to wake up early morning
and give destiny its due
divine for the person that will be met with good fortune
it is me that gives destiny its due on my waking in the morning and
therefore it is me that is met with good fortune today.

As one can probably glean from the above Odu, consistent propitiation of our Ori (deified conscious) is central in achieving our individual and colleactive success.

I've had discussions surrounding the role of Ori and our collective African American destiny on occasion. I believe we should approach the topic in a similar way as if someone came to me for Dafa, the exception being instead of one Awo dividing we would have a council of Awos consult for our collective destiny. This could be done once a year.

Agreed brother. I brought this question up in light of a thought that came up in another post about personal divinity or the god within. I think it is highly important as you alluded to.

I feel ya. I'm looking forward to replies from the others who know about Ori and those who know little to nothing about it.

Bro. Blackbird, why not consider utilizing the Study Group section for ATR's more, I notice you've posted there a couple of times. If nothing more, it provides quick access to similar Threads easy to find; plus folk that don't follow the ATR may respectfully contribute or ask questions for study purposes:
