Black People : If you can watch Scandal for an hour You need to watch Dick Gregory

IMO, Dick Gregory is just another overrated pseudo intellectual/conspiracy theorist, who hasn't really said a whole lot that I agree with! ;)

I agree with you there. I respect and agree with his general criticism of the white power structure (which conscious black person wouldn't?) but some of the specific cases he refers to in this and other videos I've seen of his, he alludes to conspiracies with slim to zero proof.

In this video his allegation regarding Trayvon Martin, skittles and ice tea was pathetic.

He said some Australian under cover secret agents filmed the Rodney King beating. Although its many years ago, I recall the person who filmed the beating being interviewed having an American accent. Two minutes on Google I was able to establish it was a Canadian (I find it difficult to distinguish between Canadian and U.S. accents). Where is Dick Gregory's proof of it being Australians, secret agents or not? He doesn't give any.

In another video he states when Stephen King was in a car accident, "they" were trying to kill him because the movie Green Mile (based on one of his short stories) portrayed Jesus as a black man.....without proof these theories are so silly!

Malcolm X, Haki R Madhubuti, Amos R. Wilson, Bomani Buruti, Yosef Ben-Jochanna, Winnie Mandela, Robert Sobukwe, Steve Biko, Fidel Castro, Chinweizu, Asa Hilliard III, Molefi Asante, John Henrik Clarke, W.E.B. Dubois, Hubert Harrison, Harold Cruise, Choke Lumumba, Patrice Lumumba, George Jackson, Johnathan Jackson, Geromino Pratt, Richard Wright, Ralph Ellison, Lerone Bennett, Zora Neale Hurston, Marimba Ani, Kwame Ture, Jacob Carruthers, Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, Abbie Lincoln. How's that for a start?
Magnificent list. Very Intelligent People. A few I never heard of.

Now how many have you read or heard? :)
Malcolm X, Winnie Mandela, Robert Sobukwe, Steve Biko, Fidel Castro, Chinweizu, Asa Hilliard III, Molefi Asante, John Henrik Clarke, W.E.B. In addition to my comment above, I must say despite my reservations on some of his issues and his lack of facts, I do absolutely adore the fact that in this video Dick does not tone down his message one single jot for the predominantly white audience, and delivers his speech in exactly the same damning tone as when he speaks to an all black audience.
