Black People : BUYING WHILE BLACK

Yet we have no money for Black Organizations . . ..
When we were teens and college years there was no ostentatious spending, however Black Organizations wee very visible and taking action and taking care of problems! There was no violence problem or big drug problem in NYC until the late 80s and 90s! What Black Organizations that were were destroyed , and I mean like bombs hit thier edifces, bvy the National COINTELPRO efforts! Black News which was created by various Black Nationalist ad hoc committees, in 88 looked like a bomb hit it, that is how bad the building looked! On Fulton and Bedford. The East the main center for Afrocentric organizations also looked strangely devestated, as if some sort of internal explosion! I wish there were photos on the web! to see something like that , happen quietly in the middle of an urban area is bizzarre if not spooky! Even a building in need of repairs does n't look like a bomb hit it! and that was on Claver Place, about 5 blocks down Fulton.

As far as this generation there are no Black organizations in NYC for these youth to donate to cause the youth unlike back in the 60s and 70s have created none! There have been no new organizations for over 25 years! the UAM is a shadow, NAACP and Urban League are nothing but money collectors that the community rarely sees, the NOI? Sharpton's National Action Rally?? So really what Black organizations are you talking about?

Yep, its called "wealth consciousness" my friend Asomfwaa, and when we realize its power, game over:

An excerpt from our soon to be published work:

"But the statistics tell a whole different story. In 1905 Black people in America owned 15 million acres of land. Right now, Black people ownless than 4 million acres. Black people are the biggest consumers in America (approaching 1 trillion dollars) but less than 5% of this money goes back into the Black community. And because of this, Blacks own less than 1% of the wealth in America."

"Blacks are 11% of the American population, and consume 40% of the Scotch Whiskey imported to the U.S., and spend 72 million at the jewelry store, and when we come asking for Civil Rights donations Negroes are just trying to make ends meet." -- Dr. King

Sometimes "Organization" doesn't need a name, sometimes it can be the coalition of Black Businesses on Fulton. The reality is we tend to waste money and it's not this generation it's this country.

Nevertheless, the UNIA-ACL, the Malcolm X Grassroots, the OAAU, the WADU, the BAMN, and so forth can use a donation. No, they are not that large but that's because we're consuming all the wrong things then saying we don't have any money for ourselves.

Edit: Just to clarify the Sister spent $2,500 on a bag; the Brother, $350 on a belt. That's $2850 going to the Organization known as Barney's which does less for Africans than any traitor Organization you can name.

Good list my friend, but don't leave out Destee.com, and the great opportunity we have to create a black institution in cyberspace; we have very few Black Institutions, defined as: owned, operated, and funded by black folk for the sole purpose of lifting and liberating black folk.

Not that large and pretty much unknown to the grassroots community!

And whose fault is that? The internet has been around how long?? Do they have a page here or articles? FB? the Black Panther Party for Self Defense went viral when the smallest computer was the size of your living room! The UNIA did it with no technology!

Hip HOP sings and chants and matras about ostentatiousness! Negroes have sat around for 12 years and let the White man create a Pied Pier music system to brainwash their children into hypnotic spendthrifts, materialists, and shopping junkies

However NYC is on the move;
