That's true. I remember a video on youtube that was talking about this.

They were stating how some pretend to be apart of the "club" because it gets people talking, they get attention, make more money, etc. Pretty much, they were calling everyone dumb for following celebrities more when they think they're apart of the Illuminati than when they believed they weren't.
